THIS IS THE BOOK...
THESE ARE A FEW OF THE STRANGE MOMENTS...
Evidently the cat is smarter than the main protagonist. And she's suppose to be our amateur sleuth...
Sooooooooo. You mean to tell me she saw the fireplace. She saw the couches and armchairs surrounding the fireplace. But she didn't see her grandmother sitting on the floor in front of the fireplace first? Considering she called out for her location as if the woman was invisible? I meannnnnn...
Despite all that I'm fairly enjoying this book with less than 100 pages to go. The main character/narrative voice is just very... well... it has some rather adolescent undertones. You know, despite the main character/narrative voice being in her late 20s. There's more but I won't get into it. I just had to get this little frustration with her out.
